Carlos Obando earned a Master’s degree in Pastoral Theology from Loyola Marymount University and has been a spiritual director since 1990. For almost 20 years he was an instructor for the Institute for Pastoral Ministry in the Diocese of Orange, and from 2008 to 2013 taught at the Loyola Marymount University/Extension, Center for Religion and Spirituality. He and his wife, Margie, have three grown children and three grandchildren. He is currently retired; enjoys classic cinema, science fiction movies, a great cup of coffee and loves to travel.
