Becoming a More ‘Eucharistic’ Church…In All Senses of the Word

How can the Eucharist make a difference after Mass is over? What practical changes can the Eucharist make in your life? The Greek word “Eucharist” literally means “Thanksgiving,” but also refers to the Mass, as well as the consecrated bread and wine that we receive in communion and worship in adoration. To become more fully “Eucharistic” as individuals and as a community, we need not only to recognize the “real presence” of Christ in the consecrated host, but also to live lives of thanksgiving and solidarity in community.
