Welcome to The University Series 2025. I encourage you to take advantage of this adult education in our faith.
Too often religion is blamed for being anti-science, when science is all we need to explain and live our lives. Or religion is blamed for violence that we see daily in news reports, or that we are losing large numbers of our people because religion is no longer relevant. Please come learn the truth – and how to connect our faith to our daily lives. The University Series offers a variety of sessions that help us make better choices, appreciate the Catholic contributions to science, and learn to talk with God.

The University Series
During the season of Lent, the University Series offers over 40 sessions connecting faith with real life …in current events, faith & science, marriage & family, and archaeology & scripture.
St. Bruno, Beatitudes, and St. Mary’s are hosting sessions this Lent
This is part of the larger University SeriesR that is now a non-profit foundation under the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, founded in Ventura County by Fr. Dave Heney in 2002. (theuniversityseries.org).
Fr. Raymont of St. Mary’s, Fr. Ed Dover of Beatitudes, and Fr. Dave of St Bruno personally invite you to enjoy this multi-parish adult education program for your spiritual inspiration this Lent.
When, Who & What to Expect
- The University Series runs from March 6th to April 11th 2025.
- Evening sessions begin at 7pm and end at 8:30pm.
- Lunchtime sessions are from noon to 1pm. Kids under 12 are free at all sessions.
- St. Bruno and St. Mary’s sessions are in the Church. Beatitudes sessions are in the Hall.
- All sessions this year are in English.
- Our faculty have extensive knowledge in their fields. They love to teach and connect faith with real life.
- Our faculty may use multi-media presentations, and all are encouraged to have time for your questions.
- All sessions are non-accredited and presented for your spiritual and personal growth.
Registration & Tuition
PRE-REGISTRATION: $5 per class …and you may bring a guest for free
ONLINE: Use your credit card at www.theuniversityseries.org. All credit cards accepted.
Pre-registration closes at midnight, Monday, February 24th
A Season Pass for all classes is available only during pre-registration for $80 (a $130 value!) and includes your guest. Your class or pass receipt is sent to your email address. Just show it at the door for instant access. Your pre-registered name is also listed at the door. You can always bring a guest for free.
You can also pre-register for the Ventura area sessions as well.
AT-THE-DOOR: $8 per class … and you may bring any guest for free.
